1. Direct Speech

Direct Speech คือการนำคำพูดของบุคคลมาแสดง ตรงตามที่พูดจริง โดยใช้เครื่องหมายคำพูด

Trump said, “Cuba is going to fall soon.”

ในตัวอย่างนี้ นักข่าวนำคำพูดมาแสดงแบบตรง ๆ โดยใช้เครื่องหมายคำพูด

Reported Speech คือการ รายงานคำพูดของผู้อื่น โดยไม่ใช้เครื่องหมายคำพูด

ในข่าวจริงคำว่า that มักถูกละออก

Trump said Cuba is going to fall soon.
